When you strengthen your body in a sport-specific manner, you become a better and stronger player.
When you’re a stronger athlete you can run, cut, sprint, and jump more efficiently. When you are more efficient in these, your body does not have to work as hard, and you fatigue less quickly. When you fatigue less quickly, your hamstrings, quads, and calves are less likely to get overworked and injured. When you are less likely to get injured, you can train and play more often. When you train and play more you have more chances to get seen at a tournament showcase and have more opportunities to be recruited to extend your soccer career.
