Our Values

Your PT Doc 3-Step Process To Get You Back Doing What You Enjoy

Find Real Cause of Your Pain

We’ll take you through a comprehensive biomechanical assessment and identify the cause of your problem. Then we’ll explain what must be done to get you back to full speed and back to the activities you enjoy.

Fix Your Problem Areas

We’ll develop a treatment plan that will be tailored specifically to you and your goals. This will ultimately allow us to get you stronger, pain-free, and on track to reach your goals more effectively and efficiently.

Stay At Peak Performance

Once we get you back to exercising pain free, we’ll implement strategies to get you performing at an even higher level than you were prior to your injury. We’ll also implement strategies to “bulletproof” your body.

Step 1
Relieving Pain

The 1st step in our 3 phase rehab process to resolving pain is “get out of pain”.🤩

Once you’re out of pain, we still have a lot of work to do; treating the root cause, and weaning back into soccer activities for long-term success. 🙌🏽

So often, as soon as people feel better, they quit doing their exercises and do not finish their plan of care with their doctor. This ends up feeding into a recurring pain cycle because they quit before the root cause of the problem was fully addressed.😣

Becoming pain-free is a great step in the right direction, it means we are barking up the right tree, but you must trust your doctor and follow the plan of care to the end. We want you to have a more permanent and lasting pain relief so you can stay on the field stronger and better than ever!

Step 2
Address Your Root Problem.

The 2nd phase in our 3 phase rehab process is restoring Range of motion/flexibility:

Normalizing the flexibility in the joints and muscles around the region that was painful is an important step to returning to top performance. Normalizing the Range of motion is more than just stretching. Normal flexibility involves normalizing the joint motion, muscular flexibility, and nerve tension. Depending on the injury you had, normalizing flexibility can involve those 3 components.

After using manual therapy in the form of adjustments/ joint mobilizations, and soft tissue/neural mobilization we need to teach your body to use the new flexibility given to the client with the manual therapy. We start with elementary movements like walking, sitting to standing, climbing steps, and squatting with good form, and progress into phase 3 which is strengthening as the clients perfects their everyday and athletic movements!

Step 3
Return to and stay at peak performance.

The final step in our 3 phase rehab process to resolving pain is “bulletproof strength”.

Once you are out of pain and have restored most or all of your range of motion we get your body ready for the demands of your activity or sport!

This part of your plan of care will not only prepare your body for the straining sport-specific movements that you have to perform but will make you more solid, decreasing the chance of the pain returning and other pains to develop in your body.

Often times strengthening is also the best way to restore flexibility because you are teaching your body to move in the proper ranges of motion that your sport requires.

Ultimately, bulletproofing your body with strength training will allow us to create a good balance between your flexibility and stability around your bones and joints.

During this phase, you will notice you are going to feel stronger and oftentimes better than ever before during your activity or sport.

We Understand the Demands of Your Life and/or Sport

We walk the talk! As physical therapists who exercise and participate in a large variety of activities/sports ourselves we understand what it takes. While many physicians and physical therapists will simply tell you to stop your desired activity we understand that avoiding the things that you enjoy most because of an injury is no way to live. Because of our background we know the importance of keeping you in the activities you love and we find ways to modify your training so you can stay in your sport throughout the Your PT Doc process.
