Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy in Austin, TX

Stop Managing Symptoms. Start Fixing the Problem.

Pelvic floor physical therapy in Austin for women who are tired of being told leaking, pain, or pressure is just part of life. We find the root cause, build a real plan, and work with you one-on-one every session.

Why Women Put Off Getting Help

You've Been Told It's Normal

Leaking after having kids, pelvic pressure, or pain with exercise — you've been told to expect this. You shouldn't have to accept it.

You've Tried Kegels and Nothing Changed

Generic pelvic floor exercises rarely address the real issue. Without understanding why the dysfunction is happening, progress stalls.

You're Waiting for It to Improve on Its Own

Months pass and the symptoms persist. A conservative, structured plan is usually the missing piece — not more waiting.

What Women Say About Pelvic Floor PT at Your PT Doc

Women in Austin who finally got real answers and a plan that addressed what was actually going on — not just symptoms.

Dr Gabriel is fantastic. If you have a sports related injury, Dr Gabriel can get you back in the game ASAP.
Greg Kidwell
I came to see Dr Gabriel with shoulder pain. Every day I suffered from pain but seeing him made the pain go away and I didn’t realize how much pain I was in until the pain went away and am more active than ever before! I definitely recommend him!
Pete Delgado
Dr Gabriel is an attentive, caring, intelligent and thorough doctor. He has been helping my 13 yo son who plays soccer return to playing without pain, by meticulously diagnosing the root cause. He first set out to mitigate the pain, then has continued to help my son work to strengthen the areas of the body that are causing the issue so as to avoid future pain. He’s truly an excellent physician and therapist.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about pelvic floor physical therapy at Your PT Doc in Austin

Do I need a referral or a diagnosis to get started?

No referral needed. You can book directly, and we'll assess from scratch in the first session. Imaging can be helpful context, but it's not required. We'll tell you if we need more information before building your plan.

I've had a baby — how soon after delivery can I start?

Most providers recommend waiting at least six weeks post-delivery, but earlier consultation is possible. We'll discuss your delivery, healing, and current symptoms to decide the right starting point for your plan.

I've been told to just do Kegels. Is that really enough?

For many people, Kegels alone don't work because the issue isn't weakness — it's coordination, tension, or pressure management. We assess what's actually happening and build a plan around that, which usually involves a lot more than Kegel repetitions.

Will I have to stop running or training during treatment?

Not unless continuing would clearly make things worse. We modify around your activity, not away from it. The goal is to address the root cause while keeping you as active as safely possible throughout the process.

Do you accept insurance?

We're cash-based — no insurance required. We can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. Most patients find the one-on-one, undivided care is worth it compared to insurance-driven session structures.
